Aleksandra Brzóskowska

Aleksandra Brzóskowska studied baroque violin with Odile Édouard at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Lyon (FR), where she graduated with distinction in 2018. She has worked with conductors such as Martin Gester, Gabriel Garrido, Raphaël Pichon, Sébastien Daucé and William Christie, and is co-director of the ensemble Uranometria with violinist Félix Verry. Alongside her artistic work, Aleksandra is also a musicological researcher, having completed her M.A. at the Sorbonne, Paris, and is now pursuing her doctorate with a contract at the Sorbonne. Aleksandra's research focuses on the role and place of instruments in women's convents in northern Italy in the period after the Council of Trent until the end of the 17th century. In 2021 she received a grant and residency for research and artistic creation from the Festival Embaroquement
