Reinhild Waldek completed her studies at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz/ Austria with distinction and continued her musical education in Holland; she studied recorder with Walter van Hauwe and Sebastien Marq and baroque harp with Christina Pluhar. She graduated in 2003 from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague as Bachelor of Music and Master of Music, specializing in Early Music. Since october 2003 she has taught at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.
Reinhild Waldek is regularly invited by various ensembles as a continuo player and soloist. Most recently she participated in CD recordings and concerts with the internationally avarded ensembles L’Arpeggiata, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Private Musicke, Mezzaluna, Unicorn, Accentus Austria and Tasto Solo. She has made numerous concert appearances throughout Europe with her own ensembles Vivante and Bella Discordia.
