The Flaming Fire - English, Scottish, and Irish Folk and Art Songs

With renowned Viola da Gamba player Hille Perl and her daughter, Marthe, we will present a new program of Art and Folk songs from England, Scotland, and Ireland. "The Flaming Fire" is a four-voiced, anonymous piece with a haunting Scottish melody. Composers active in the early 17th century such as Thomas Campion, Francis Pilkington, Henry Lawes and Robert Johnson will be represented on this colorful program.
