A concert of Baroque Opera Highlights!

from the first great Opera composer, Claudio Monteverdi. We will perform selections from „L’incoronazione di Poppea“ and „L’Orfeo“, two operas that Carl Orff was well acquainted with. 

From "L'Orfeo" we will hear from Orfeo, Messagera, Caronte, Plutone and Proserpina and from "Poppea" we will hear the famous moral dialog between Nerone and Seneca, the Queen's lament and of the destructive love between Poppea and Nerone.
